The Nivo Slider is a fantastic jQuery slider plug-in, it is available in two formats, one jQuery plug-in is a dedicated WordPress plug-in and the other is freely available for all websites.
Isotope is a jQuery plug-in that can add some serious improvement to how your users navigate content displayed on a webpage. The plugin makes use of some great jQuery effects to alter your content layout on a page.
